Recruiting firm redefines on-line job posting and candidate generation

A renegade recruiting firm based in Tennessee has taken a bold move to redefine the relationship between employers and employment advertising websites by offering free job posting to employers within its market niche.

"We’re busting the traditional model of pay-for-posting online advertising, because it no longer makes sense," said Dennis Gros, president of Gros Executive Recruiters, a firm that serves packaging and plastics employment markets in the USA and internationally.

According to Gros, the 27,000+ job boards now in existence are embroiled in a price war. Search engines essentially equalize the exposure of a job ad on any site, whether it cost $800 or $25. Additionally, once the web site exists, the cost of publication is miniscule, he said.

"We’re offering our clientele an opportunity to post job employment ads on our site at no charge for a specified period of time. Why would we do that? Because if they don’t fill the job quickly by posting on the internet, they probably need the assistance of a professional recruiter--and here we are."
